The Fox and the Hound

I've been pretty sick this whole week, so I figure while I'm stuck in bed for now I might as well do some catchup. Halloween was fun this year. Owen, of course, couldn't care less but we still tried to do fun things with him. We went to our first pumpkin patch. It mostly consisted of us walking through a lot of rotten pumpkins, realizing it wasn't that amazing, and then just going to a truck full of small pumpkins and grabbing one for Owen. I guess this year was a bad year for pumpkins, but we still had fun. Let's be honest. Anytime I get out of the house as a stay at home mom, it's extremely exciting.

I decided to become a little more domestic and make my own granola while I decorated the house. It turned out freakin fabulous. I will never buy Granola again! It's so much cheaper than the store bought stuff and tastes 10x better because you can add anything you want in it. I got my recipe here. Ease up on the oil though. This girly went a little crazy with it and I didn't use that much at all!

My sister-in-law Larissa through a cute little halloween party this year, so luckily we had an excuse to dress up. I found the cutest fox costume for Owen at Carter's so I had to get it. A few days after I already bought it, I heard, for the first time, What does the Fox say! :( I knew I would hear that all the time once I got him in that costume. le sigh. Oh well. It was still fun and he was super cute. I had to think of a cute costume to go with it and Jake actually came up with the Fox and the Hound. Jake didn't want to be the hound though because he thought it would be ugly... Sooo yeah. I was the hound. The only hound costumes I could find were for mascots and cost way too much. I got a cheap sweatshirt from the DI and grabbed some felt and a hot glue gone and made my own crappy hound costume! We were going to have Jake go as Amos Slade, but we couldn't find the right clothes, so we just went with a random hunter instead. I just love this little family of mine!

Norb and Kathy's Costumes were pretty awesome this year!

Holland was the cutest little german boy!

I was able to go back to my old job with my friend Cassie and show off Owen to everyone. It was really good to see everyone again!

Cassie's little girl Emmy just loves Owen. She does not stop kissing him whenever they are together. It's so funny! He's just so confused.

On Halloween night we went trick or treating with his cousin's Erika and Elliot. It was cold so we didn't last longer than an hour. We ditched Nick and the kids and come home early. Owen didn't care about a thing, but because he's around I had an amazing Halloween this year.
