7 Months

By 7 months this Growing child of ours:

- tried out the swings for the first time. I figured I try them out before it got too cold. He absolutely loved them. At first he was really nervous and just had a concerned look on his face, but them really got excited and started kicking. 

- has gone through another growth spurt. I swear he no longer fits in half his 6 month clothes!

- does really well at sitting up by himself now. I still put a pillow behind him just in case but he really doesn't need it. 

- has really become so aware of the world around him. He is fascinated by everything. Especially if it's something I'm using. If I'm eating something he tried to grab it out of my mouth, if I'm holding anything he must have it. He's really fast at grabbing things too.
- can stand on his own when he holds on to something like a coffee table or couch. No walking yet at all but he can stand there on his own for a while.

- celebrated his first Thanksgiving! We tried to feed him Turkey dinner w/ rice meal and he was having nothing of it. It has, to date, been the only food he refuses. (other than plain oatmeal)

I'm having such a hard time keeping up with this blog each month. They just go by way too fast! The Holidays don't help with slowing down time. For Thanksgiving this year we didn't do much. And of course I didn't get any pictures. Meh. We just stuffed our faces with my side of the family on Thanksgiving day. The day after we went to Jake's Grandparent's house to have our last Thanksgiving in their home. They are moving into another home. I guess it's not a huge deal for me because I've only been a part of his family for 4 years, (it was my 5th Thanksgiving there) but it was still crazy to think that we wont be getting together there anymore. I can't say anything else has really gone on with us this month. Cheers to Owen's 7th Month!

 He makes changing his Diaper so hard because he fights so hard to spin around like this. Silly baby.

Getting food in the nose

This kid loves his baths. He refuses to lay back. Little Dare Devil. 

Sushi Date night with mom and dad. My first time having sushi since before I was pregnant with this kid. It was Amazing! <3

Taking over in taking his Milk of Magnesia medicine. Gotta get those bowels going. ;)

He does not like me putting him down so I had to find a creative way to carry the laundry basket with him in my arms. He's always so "helpful".
