By 5 months this Happy child of ours:
- has found his voice and loves to use it. He's constantly yelling out, cooing, and babbling, just because he can. I love hearing his little voice too.
-loves to burrow his face into little corners to sleep. Usually it's my armpit or the edge of his crib. Sometimes when he's wide awake he'll burrow his head into my elbow and stay there. Silly kid.
- tried a puff baby food and was not a fan.
-had his first blow out. All the way down his leg. While we were shopping at a craft store. yuck
- has started grabbing his toes a lot.
- is sleeping amazing! He usually takes a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and generally wakes up once in the middle of the night if at all! I'll take that over his 30-40 min naps!
- has started to mimic my facial expressions. Not all the time but he'll sometimes raise his eyebrows or stick out his tongue for me!
It really seems like these months are just flying by! How am I a mother to a 5 month old? I try so hard to cherish every day with this kid. I just breathe him in as I rock him to sleep in the glider, like a creeper. I can't get enough of him. He has brought so much joy to both our lives. I don't know what we were doing before him, but it wasn't nearly as fulfilling. He has made our marriage stronger than ever. I don't know why, but I have just become a much more loving person now that this babe is in the world. I'm always so excited about the next milestone and always say I can't wait until he can do this or that, but I'm also trying to keep him little forever. He's already gotten so big and smart from the day he was born. I can't believe how much he can change in such a sort time. I love my Owen more than I can even describe. Cheers to 5 months!
Our first walk around the new neighborhood.

Playing with his cute cousin Holland.
Not going to be doing puffs again for a little bit.
