Moving into SUMMER!

Lets get real here. Utah's Weather needs to get it's act together! Thanks to the snow at the end of May we decided to go with some friends to a much warmer place for Memorial Day... Final Destination... Goblin Valley! We went with Our friends Ben and Manda, Josh and Kim. We're so in with the Married crowd! It was my first time going there and I loved it. I had to experience what Tim Allen did in Galaxy Quest.

Kudos to you if you know this movie!

It might have been somewhat better if we actually had the space suits and ugly alien but we made the best of it.

Passing time while we were hiding... shhhh

I'll be honest, camping is not my favorite past-time. I love being outdoors'n all but waking up at 3 in the morning freezing cold and 7AM to a blazing hot tent and going more than 2 days without showering is not my cup of tea. Judge me if you will but I have every right to be a girl! Being with friends and Jake and hiking made it totally worth it... and having an awesome husband who helps you wash your face and holds your toilet paper for you in the middle of the night is pretty helpful. :) Going hiking through "Little Crazy Horse Canyon" (gotta love the name) the next day was one of my favorites... Don't go the back way! So boring. We hiked for about 2 hours wondering what the crap we were doing there! It was miserable! (please keep in mind I can no longer wear shorts or tank tops and had the sun beating down on me since we started our hike at like 12) At least the company was good and we had plenty of blow pops to go around! But the 2nd half of the hike was sweet! The Canyon was sometimes just shoulder width wide and there was a lot of climbing. So much better than walking on a rock and dirt road.
