Aloha 2014

We are such boring old farts! Our new year festivities consisted of dinner with my brother and his family and playing Ticket to Ride and Dutch Blitz. We've accepted this life and we love it! Bring on 2014! It will be really hard to top 2013, but we're excited to see what this year will bring us. Having a baby was probably the most exciting and life changing thing we have ever experienced though, so it may not be as eventful. But we do have a 1st Birthday this year, and possibly baby 2? HELL NO! I was just kidding. Sometimes I wonder how I could possibly love another child as much as I love my Owen. I'm pretty sure I couldn't. I kinda joke that if I ever do have other kids it's just to give Owen brothers/sisters. Donor babies, minus the whole needing any organs. Maybe my mind will change once I have one? We'll worry about that when it comes to it. haha

Mid January my Mom flew my whole family to Hawaii so that we could visit her. She hasn't seen Owen since he was born and she hasn't ever met Eva yet. I think I was more stressed out than excited about the trip. First we had to drive (6hrs) to Vegas for the flight, then fly (6 more hrs) to Hawaii, not to mention the 3 hr time difference. I had no idea how Owen was going to be. Luckily he was amazing! I'm not surprised but I was still just expecting the worse. The car ride was so easy and it didn't seem that long at all. The flight went pretty smooth as well. Owen slept and played really well, even though he only had so much room to move around.

Cheesy smiles all around

These two are the cutest together!

It was so amazing to be able to walk out here every morning. Our backyard was perfection. LOVE!

The Beach right next to our beach house in Makaha. So Perfect!

Owen wanted to bury his feet with his cousin Erika.

Owen getting some loving from Eva. (Really she's just trying to eat his hair. YUM!)

The Traditional Korean BBQ with Mom. Not Erika's Favorite. Hahaha

Pali Look Out

Cool enough to need a jacket but not pants at Pali Look out. :)

This kid got comfy real quick!

We went to a big water park one day to get a break from the salt water. Owen loved the little wave pool. He was scared of the ocean waves, but after the water park he wasn't as scared. Poor baby was so tired that he slept half the time we were at the park.

Mom took all the boys out for some serious sushi while Katie and I stayed in with the kids to get them to sleep. So glad I missed this night of eating out. EEEEWWWW!

Crazy shopping day with Grandma! She bought Owen his whole Summer wardrobe and then some. So spoiled and I like it like that!

Saying Bye to Grandma! Until next time!

Chillin together in Vegas on our way home.

We didn't get to do as much as I wanted to, but it was still so nice to get out and feel the sun! Owen's sleep didn't seem to get too messed up either. We just woke up really early Hawaii time, so really it all worked out. The hardest part of the trip was trying to keep Owen from eating the sand. So gross, but he acted like it was the best stuff he's ever eaten. Crazy baby. We spent a lot of time with Grandma, and that was the point, so it was a successful trip.

A week after we got back from Hawaii, this good looking one turned:

By 9 months this Mobile child of ours:
- falls onto his butt when he falls back from standing now. Not all the way to his back.
- Stands on his own. He'll be holding on the the coffee table and will grab a toy with both hands and not even realize he's not holding to anything. He'll just stand there for a while until he realizes it then he'll panic and grab for the coffee table dramatically.
- Has been to Hawaii! And also his first plane ride.
- is CRAWLING!!! After the first day of clumsily crawling around, he acted like he's been doing it for years. Fast little boy.
- can take about 2 steps before he falls forward into my arms. I don't count it as walking yet but it's progress!
- is taking baths now without any supporting tubs or carriers. He loves to crawl around in the shallow water, and he loves to yell out when I lay him back in the water to wash his hair out. He thinks the noise is funny with his ears below the water. He really makes us laugh.
- has mastered using the sippy cup. he loves it! I'm praying our next baby will take a bottle unlike their older brother.
- loves playing Peek-a-boo! He likes to put the blanket over his head and pull it off over and over again. Usually he does it too fast that I barely have time to say peak-a-boo before he's hiding his head again. He thinks he's so funny. He also likes to duck down under the coffee table or behind a door and pop his head out. I love this about him!
- had his 9 month √ up! No shots!!! Wahoooo!
Weight: 18.9 lbs ~ 21%tile
Height: 30.25 inches ~ 96%tile
Head: 17.6 inches ~ 30%tile
We have a very tall, very skinny child and we wouldn't want him any other way!

My mornings with my happy boy. He makes mornings so much better. I'm not a morning person and having a child has not made me one, like some people have said, but he at least makes it happier.

Bath time photo shoot. This child is so pretty! I love him.

Being so wiggly. It was so hard to get a picture of this kid!

He's pretty much got these check ups down pat.
