Why yes we did forget that we had a blog. Sorry about that! In our defense it's because we've been preparing for our first baby! OK that's not the greatest excuse, but it's true. We're estimated to become parents of a sweet little boy April 28th and we could not be more excited about it. I should say we couldn't be more excited/anxious/nervous! We've made it to 29 weeks so far! It has completely flown by and at the same time I feel like I have been pregnant for years! I'll talk more about that later, but I did want to do a quick recap of what has been going on w/ us in the last few months.
Bear Lake last year was really fun. It was over Jake's 25 birthday so we had a little celebration for him... really we just ate some cake. :) We never get to be there as long as we would like and I'm sure as long as his family would like us to. Dang work!

Yeah that's basically all the pictures I got of Bear Lake last year. No good! Don't worry it only gets worse as the year goes on... if I even do remember to take any pictures!
A couple months after Bear Lake we went to Lake Tahoe to celebrate my birthday! My best friend Lindsey's birthday is the day before mine so we decided to go celebrate together. Her and her little family moved to Reno about a year or so ago, so we thought it would be fun to fly out there and stay w/ them and head to Lake Tahoe for a day!

It was such a relaxing trip! We definitely would love to go back sometime. I was about 6 weeks pregnant then. It seems so long ago! Halloween was next! We just had a little get together w/ the Jumper's and the Kikkert's. So crazy that we're now the only one's w/o kids yet!
Thanksgiving was the same as always! Thanksgiving day we went to my Dad's w/ my family and then the day after we went to Jake's grandparents house for the Marshall Thanksgiving. I love that it works out so well, and we get to see both of our families that weekend! (of course no pictures were taken)
Christmas was wonderful! We moved into a little duplex at the beginning of November and we were able to make it feel like home really fast w/ Christmas just around the corner! Not going to lie, it is so nice having our own place! We really enjoyed living w/ Nick and Katie but having our own place is so much better. I'm sure they're loving having all the extra room in their house too!
We couldn't help getting him some stuff for Christmas! We kept it to just an outfit and a book from each of us! Jake's family got us a couple outfits and my friend Linds mailed us a cute little outfit too! So nice of all of them! We love them! I would have to say this year my little Sister Dani was the winner of the Gingerbread house drop! I did get some pictures but I have too many to upload already! But super late shout out to Danika!
That's about all that we've really been up in the past few months! I'm sure there is plenty more but I don't think they are too important. Moving on to more about baby Hommes!

Here he's 21 weeks!
At 20 weeks I was thinking "yay I'm finally starting to show!" Now I want so bad to go back to that size! :) I can't believe how large I am! I'm carrying him pretty high too so that doesn't really help! I can't really say I've been having a hard pregnancy. I've been really lucky! I've had just about every symptom in the book and then some but nothing extreme! Around weeks 6-12 I thought was going to die! Not only was I neauseous (which is horrible on it's own), but I got the flu along w/ my first sinus infection (which was pretty bad). Oh and on top of that I had some sort of bacterial infection as well. It took me about a month to get over the flu. It was no good. I was thinking this kid would be an only child because I wasn't going to put myself through that again! But after I reached about 13-14 weeks I really started to feel so much better! Hopefully I stay this way until he's here. Fingers crossed!
We are so ready for Owen to be here! We have gotten a few things for him already, and I've had a few friends already get some things for him! I've had a friend at work make him a blanket and burp cloths that match and another friend lend us her swing, bouncer and tub! They are seriously too nice! I feel so thankful for these ladies!
We can't stop buying him clothes! I need to take another belly picture. It's not pretty though. :) It's hard dealing w/ getting so large, but I just have to remember that there is a healthy little baby growing inside of me! (So very thankful that he is so healthy so far) It helps that I have such an amazing husband who makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world! Jake has been more than great during this whole thing! He's going to be the cutest dad and I can't wait to see it! Hopefully we can keep you guys more up to date on what is going on w/ us and little Owen. I have a little journal that I keep for this pregnancy and by the time I finish writing in that I feel like I have no time for this blog, but I'll try my best!
