Now that it's been so long since our Hawaii trip, it's not so exciting to blog about it. But here I go. It was nice to go on an actual somewhat vacation that lasted longer than a 3 day weekend. We flew out from Vegas and got to Hawaii at around noon Island time.
Jake finally got to meet my crazy Mom... (I mean crazy by the way, not goofy/silly... even though she is pretty goofy/silly too) She helped us get our rental car and took us out to Lunch for some Korean BBQ. So wonderful. I want some now!

Lovin our leis!
We finally made it to our hotel and got some fabulous rest! I don't function well after driving 5 1/2 hours and then taking a 5 1/2 hour flight. I don't know, maybe I'm just weird. We just hung out at the hotel for the day and explored around Waikiki. Our days consisted of going to my Mom's store every morning to grab snacks, and basically whatever we wanted, and then head to the beach. Our first day we headed on a gorgeous little hike to Waimea Falls. The falls were pretty puny this time of year, but still so pretty to see. That was one of the things I wanted to do while there.

Nate being so cool.

I love that Nate has 2 little kids sitting in his mouth! Perfect!
The water was so perfect everywhere we went! I forgot how much more perfect the water is in Hawaii over California! We swam at the waterfall for a while and then just went to the beach right next to it. Fabulous first day. I can't even remember the order of what we did so I'll just go as I remember. My Mom had Monday off so we spent the day with her. We went to the Dole Plantation and the LDS Temple. I love that everything was a first for Jake and I got to be there with him!

Pineapple Ice cream w/ Pineapple pieces...(I was going to say chunks but it's a word I hate... did I just ruin it?)

Do yourself a favore and find this shrimp shack if you ever go to the North Shore. There are a few up there but THIS is the one to go to. Spicy Garlic Shrimp. Nuff said.
At some point my Mom took us on some crazy shopping spree and I walked away with 3 new purses a wallet and some shirts. I wont complain. She bought Jake a sexy coach wallet and a lot of clothes. Not a bad day if you ask me. That night I tried Pho for the first time. Not really my thing. I feel like the only person on this planet that doesn't love it. Put enough hot sauce in it and it was a decent meal. :) At some point we went on a dinner cruise with my Mother and had some all you can eat Crab Legs and watched the prettiest sunset! Jake was not feeling well at all that day or night. We think he might have gotten a sinus infection from cliff jumping the day before. Poor guy. I wasn't much help either. I'll just explain by letting you know that my mom is a little over bearing. If anything is wrong with Jake or Nathan it was my fault. (Jake had a dirty shirt on. my fault. Jake wasn't feeling well. my fault. Nathan didn't get ice cream when he wanted it. my fault) So because my mom was on my case about Jake not feeling well I was on him for being sick. I felt so bad. He's so perfect though and still loves me. :) He felt much better the next day and we beached it up and snorkeled our lives away!
Cliff Jumping. I spy my Handsome Husband!

He was so miserable :(

Meet Chong Ye Shin (we call her Moon)

Waiting for the Sunset

I adore this Man more than words!

Our thoughts of the ship entertainment

Hanauma Bay I love you!
I finally went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for the first time. It's gorgeous there. We had a nice dinner (more crab legs. Jake and Nate were in heaven) and then watched the show they had there HA: Breathe of life. It was pretty awesome. I would have to recommend it.

Our last day we spent with my Mom at Turtle Bay. She wants to get my whole family a condo there next time we come out to visit. That would be amazing! It might never happen but I like the thought of it.

I'm excited to go back someday. I'm not sure how soon that will be. There are other places I'd much rather travel to before then. But a free trip to Hawaii isn't something we'll turn down. Other than dealing with Moon it was a really good trip but by the end of the 10 days I was ready to head home. Now Jake can say he's been to Hawaii and I'm so glad we were able to go together... and had a 3rd wheel. Sorry this was the longest post in the world and if it bored you out of your mind. Thanks for reading this far for those of you that have. You rock my world!

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. Love the pics!
