Talk DERBY to me!

Yesterday Jake and I went to a Demolition Derby with my friends Jessica and Lindsey and their husbands. If you like people watching, then this is the best place to do so. I mean it's a DEMOLITION DERBY. Very interesting people to say the least. I had a lot more fun there than I thought I could at such a redneck event! I'm not ashamed to admit it. I have redneck deep in my blood so why not let it come out? Lindsey invited me and Jess and it was fun getting all our husbands together for the first time. Jake got some crap about me making him wearing a matching shirt to mine, but he knows he loved it! (they're the only plaid shirts we had and we had to go rodeo style sense Jake doesn't have a wifebeater :))

I have to admit "Talk derby to me" was not my idea. It was on one of the cars in the derby. Some had a lot of entertaining things written on them. We'd each choose our favorite car to win in each heat. One of Jake's favorites was the "Kids Rule" station wagon and mine was some strange car with "beef" sprayed on it. Jessica's was some car painted like a bee and Lindsey always seemed to choose the ones that would breakdown in the first couple of minutes. No luck at all. I would definitely recommend going to one. We all loved it!

... And HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY to my wonderful husband on the 2nd! We had a fun little pool party with his friends to celebrate! I'm pretty glad he was born. :)
