It Happens...

I had a Stroke!

It's great. This phrase will forever be mine! I should be able to get Jake to do things for me for at least a couple more weeks... I'll see how far I can make it go. :) J/K Berbeh. I love you! Jake really has been great about taking care of me. Always there for me when I get up in the middle of the night to pee and putting together my shower chair... yup I have my own shower bench. It would all be worth it if only I got a handicap sticker for parking. True I've had my driving privileges stripped of me but I still want the sticker. If anyone is still wondering I'm doing mucho better now. I can type this so that's progress. For the most part my balance is back and my strength on my left side is almost all there. I just wish the strain on my neck and head would go away and the nausea. I still get tired pretty fast and still can't do too much at a time but so so much better than the 1st week. I also still dream of the day I will have feeling on the right side of my body. I'm kind of adjusting to this though. Here are some glamour shots Jake snapped of me while in the hospital.

Just being as miserable as possible

I still meet with physical therapists twice a week and have to continue taking blood thinners for at least the next 3 months... which means getting pricked in the finger every time I meet with my PT to check my blood... It would probably suck but like I said, I have no feeling on my right side. Poke away! I feel much better though and that's the most important thing to me. The timing was perfect as far as the wedding goes though. I can finally start getting back into the planning. On Saturday I went with my future mom-in-law to get my dress fitted and went over the alterations I want. It's going to be gorgeous! I forget how much I love the dress until I put it on. I'm going to be honest, I look amazing in it.

Exactly 2 months from tomorrow! Hopefully it will be here before I know it. People warn us like it's a bad thing. We only hope it does. And my Bestie best bestie will be in utah as my maid of honor!!! I can't wait to see her. I miss her so much! It's been almost a whole year since I've been in the same room as her. She's my other half... next to Jake of course! I'm also expecting her to be engaged by the time she comes with her boyfriend Merek! I only wish they lived in the same state as us. I heart them... Well I think I like Mer... I've never met him before. I just don't realize it sometimes. Brit and I like to think Jake and Mer would be best friends... yes we would like to hook our guys up together. Weird? Whatevs. You like it.
